If you are working in a building built prior
to 1987, it is likely that asbestos containing materials were
used in the construction. Under the national Code of Practice
it is a requirement that all buildings have an asbestos register.
The asbestos register lists the location, type
and condition of the asbestos containing products identified
on the premises. It also includes recommendations on making
safe, management and removal of these products.
It is a further requirement that Occupational
Health, Safety & Welfare regulations are followed. The
Register assists you to undertsand the compliance requirements.
Your Asbestos Register Controller can explain
